Types of stone we stock include, limestone, travertine, marble, granite, mosaic tiles, exterior paving, and sandstone. Samples of each stone can be bought online as well as the products themselves.
Limestone:Our limestone collection ranges from pale and consistent in colour limestone's, to blue, grey, gold and other more characterful variations. The finishes include honed, polished, tumbled, semi honed and brushed. We supply tiles in formats which would suit a cottage setting as well as a commercial development. We stock limestone which represents excellent value, as well as Jerusalem, French, and reclaimed limestone's.
Travertine: Travertine tiles are available from our Company in very similar formats to our limestone collection. The travertine's we offer vary in colour, from ivory to rich browns and golds. Tiles are available which are honed and filled as well as tumbled and unfilled. We are one of the largest stockists of travertine tiles in the UK with stone for bathrooms, kitchens, floors and walls. Our travertine is suitable for use in both high and low traffic areas, as well as being perfect for use with under floor heating.
Outdoors: We supply are range of stone which can be used externally. Our stock includes traditional sandstone flags for use on patios, driveways and paths. Farzin Rock Stone Ltd also carry external grade travertine for patios in the form of both bricks and tumbled paving slabs. Extremely hard wearing sandstone bricks and slabs are also for sale from the Far East.

Beautiful travertine (often referred to as travertine marble) falls somewhere between Limestone and Marble, separated by approximately 20 million years of rock formation, where dissolved Limestone has been allowed to mix with steam under enormous pressure. Travertine flooring and other travertine products can be successfully treated to produce several different looks (such as tumbled travertine, honed and filled travertine, etc).
Our travertine products come in a number of different finishes to suit your taste and environment. For those that prefer a smooth feel under foot and hand the travertine is honed and finished at our factories. This is a process of filling the holes before polishing the surface. If a traditional finish is your preference, the travertine is sandblasted leaving the natural undulation of the stone (often referred to as tumbled travertine).

Travertine tiles

is a type of stone that comes from different countries (including the Iran Article New Mexico. Very good stuff, too). Not all have the same physical characteristics. For instance, a certain type of Durango travertine (from Iran) is extremely brittle. But it's not the only one, though. Certain poor grading of Italian White Travertine (the favorite among many builders, because it's very cheap no wonder! and yet carries the label of "Italian travertine") are just as bad. Without seeing your floor it's impossible to make any sure assessment. I would suggest you to get hold of a professional. As far as routine maintenance is concerned, travertine like all calcite-based stones is very sensitive to pH active cleaning agents, therefore you do need specialty products. Article

Travertine

Travertine is another rock that's forming now. It is relatively rare in Yellowstone, but it makes up the Mammoth Hot Springs terraces, near the park's North Entrance.

Minerva TerraceAt right is Minerva Terrace as it looked in 1997. The inset photo in the corner shows the travertine terracettes in detail. Minerva has rarely been active during the last few years.

Travertine is made of calcium carbonate, which the hot spring water dissolves from the limestone that lies below Mammoth. How the limestone got there is itself an interesting story.
